Hillary Clinton’s campaign released a powerful political ad last week highlighting Barack Obama’s time in office – and if you’re a fan of President Obama, it would be hard to hold back the tears. Now, the Democratic National Committee is following suit and created an ad covering the overall Democratic Party message. And if you’re a Democrat, you may get goosebumps.

The ad, “We Are Democrats,” features high profile Democrats – like presidents Franklin Delano Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, and Bill Clinton, as well as Senators Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, and Representatives John Lewis and Gabby Giffords – even former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley gets a shout out.

As we see images of Democrats, the narration changes between Hillary Clinton, President Obama, Senator Warren, Tim Kaine and John Lewis.

The narrators explain that Democrats throughout the decades have been driven by one question: “How can we do the most good for the most people?” Of course that’s similar to Hillary Clinton’s oft-repeated Methodist credo “do all the good you can to all the people you can in all the ways you can.”

Throughout the ad, we see powerful images, including Rosa Parks sitting on the bus, Nelson Mandela speaking in South Africa, the White House lit up with rainbow colors and Black Lives Matter protesters.

“We are Democrats… this is what we have always done” And the ad ends, “Let’s go make some more history. Together.”
