The wizards at Microsoft have new hardware! And new software! They’ll start unveiling at at 10 am Eastern, showing off what we hear is the next bit of Surface hardware and the next version of Windows 10. Microsoft will provide a live video stream, and we will liveblog it all. Why liveblog if there’s a live stream? Because we love to liveblog! It’s the best way to offer commentary and real-time analysis of all the announcements.

Join WIRED’s Tim Moynihan and Brian Barrett about 30 minutes before the start of the event. They’ll have their hot takes simmering by 9 am. When the liveblog starts, this message will disappear and you’ll just see live updates.

So—what’s coming? Glad you asked. We’ll see the enhancements coming to Windows 10 “Redstone 2,” the update expected in March. Rumors of a new Surface Pro and Surface Book seem sketchy. More likely is a new all-in-one, something we’re calling the Surface PC for now. Imagine something like an iMac designed by Microsoft and optimized to show off the best of Windows 10. Look for another HoloLens demo that shows how it works with Xbox.

Another possibility—a speaker with Cortana inside, which sounds nutty but would follow the trend of stand-alone hardware with voice-assistant powers like Amazon Echo and Google Home. Cortana, show me the WIRED liveblog!
