Londoner spends 15 hours stitching the greatest 'Arthur' meme of all time

LONDON — There are some memes that simply never get old.

These tend to be the memes that are the most versatile; the ones that beautifully capture an emotion in a simple image and can be handily applied to a variety of different scenarios.

The "Arthur's Fist" meme is a glorious example of this.

This is just a pic of Arthur's fist but idk how I feel that it's just so relatable. So many emotions in one fist pic.twitter.com/WHU9o7XeAG

On Saturday, London-based art student Hannah Hill cross-stitched her way into the meme hall of fame with her own feminist take on the famous cartoon fist.

Boom. Her tweet, which at the time of writing has been shared almost 50,000 times, clearly went down well.

People really loved the embroidery.

@Hanecdote This is the greatest thing I've seen in a long time. Thank you for taking the time to do it!

Others, meanwhile, chipped in with their own creations.

@Hanecdote this is extraordinary & I feel like you'll appreciate this, which tbh didn't take me nearly as long pic.twitter.com/FKqvfg69fS

Some people even spotted other links.

@Hanecdote It's funny because in one episode Authur gets into knitting but doesn't want to do it in public b/c he'll get picked on.

And as for any people who came back with a negative response? Well, Hill didn't seem too bothered.

Thanks for all the love ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Also fuck mean people 🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼
