Charles Kemper is an experienced entrepreneur and seasoned investment professional. As a Venture Partner for Beta Bridge Capital, based in London, Charlie is a life-long entrepreneur and seasoned investor known for his expertise in advising and investing in enterprise software, digital media, marketing services, advertising technology, commerce, and infrastructure companies.

Most recently, Charlie co-founded and helped run Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator, a seed stage fund and currently the largest accelerator program in New York. He was a General Partner in funds that seeded dozens of successful startups over five years with early-stage equity funding, provided them with co-working space, and delivered a network of nearly 250 who’s who mentors. During that time, Charlie was also a Managing Director at Revel Partners, an adtech focused early-expansion stage family-office venture capital group focused on financing companies in digital media and advertising technology, where he led investments in Tracx, Vidible (realized), and MediaBrix, among others.

Before launch Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator and Revel Partners, Charlie was a Principal with Steelpoint Capital Partners, a media and technology growth equity firm. During his six years at Steelpoint, he led or participated in numerous successful investments in digital media, software, communications and consumer products including AdSpace Networks, Atempo (realized), Boingo Wireless (realized), Jitterbug, PacStar Communications, prAna (realized), PrivaSys, SeaMobile (realized), Women’s Marketing (realized) and WorkShare (realized). During his tenure at Steelpoint, Charlie served as an active board member or board observer with each of the firm’s investments.

Charlie has also worked with Darby Overseas Investments, the global private equity firm with over $1 billion in capital under management led by former U.S. Treasury Secretary Nicholas Brady. At Darby, he helped launch an early-stage venture fund focused on Latin America, where he was involved in the firm’s investments in Certisign, Inova and Spring Wireless. Charlie began his career as a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Chicago-based KMF, a digital media agency addressing intranet design and e-commerce system integration.

He is also the Chair of the New York City Venture Connection, a not-for-profit networking organization comprised of the leading venture capital firms in the Greater New York area, which he started in 2007.

Charlie was born in Brazil to French parents, mostly raised in Mexico City, and studied engineering at Northwestern University in Illinois. And after over a decade in New York City, he now lives in Shoreditch, London. UK. Pretending to be a local, he attempts to keep fit by regularly playing touch rugby around England. Charlie got hooked on kiteboarding in 2008 and can now most often be found planning trips to warm and windy beaches around the world.
